The Standard Event
You can expect the employees to thank you for this
special event. A Picture Lady gallery is a lot of fun with discounts
and prizes! We create and run the gallery, bringing in the Artwork on
carts and establishing a promotional display.
We operate the cash register and take care of all
the
small details involved in running an event. We are pros and you can
depend on us. We keep sequential records and at the end of the sale you
are able to check these.
To ensure all transactions are correct we display
a sign
that reads: "If
you do not get a receipt or there is no published price, there is no
charge for the transaction." In this way, the customer polices
the sale.
A Consignment Event
This event is run by volunteers. We provide a
small
handbook on how to handle the show. It is simple and explicit and easy
to follow.
We bring in the artwork and the gifts early
(typically
6:30 a.m.) and establish the event. At that time we are supervised by a
security guard who also ensures the tables and chairs are provided.
Note: We are not on campus to sell. We are
essentially
the delivery boys and set-up artists.
As soon as the volunteers arrive we leave. We
return to
pack up in the late afternoon. Sometimes this show is combined with an
early evening cheese and wine big donor event, or fashion show run off
campus, and organized by the Foundation.
Something for Everybody
Especially popular at
this time of
the year are our Affordable Egyptian Comfort Sheets because in these
stressful
times we all deserve a good night’s rest. In the winter time we also
bring in woolly Disney Baby
Blankets and Downy Comforters.

Advertising
Picture Lady is different from other vendors in
that
early advertising pays off. We recommend an email five weeks before a
show. If you can, also put up big posters on easels in high traffic
places. We send all these to you in a package. While we do everything
at a show, we do rely on you to get the word out. When we work together
as a team we can do great things!
Picture Lady is sensitive to image and the show
will not
look like a sale or swap meet but more like a gallery or a museum. We
hold to professional standards.
With good advertising we will start a show with
$500 in
special orders and your good commission is assured.
What we need for a Show
- Three tables and four chairs.
- A lobby, patio, auditorium, hallway, or corner
in the
cafeteria.
It is appreciated if we can also have a safe space
overnight to store our pictures when we do a two-day show, but this is
not mandated and we can pack up.
Photo-to-Artwork
We are able to take a small photo and turn it into
a
work of art. This unique service is in great demand with our customers.

Special Orders
Aside from Photo-to-Artwork, we also do custom
framing
and art restoration. If a customer likes a picture, but would prefer a
different frame, this can be arranged. Here is a "Before and After" restoration example.
Decorating
We provide a sophisticated decorating service. If
you
solicit decorating jobs for us, via your Administration, you can earn a
15% commission. More...
Problem Solving
We try to handle all problems without passing them
on to
you. You are busy enough without worrying about what we do. Our motto
is:
"We
make it easy!"
We also carry a million-dollar liability insurance
policy for accidents and lawsuits. In the two decades we have been in
business, we have never had an accident. We know and work with the
typical safety precautions.

When the economy
put its ugly stress on
all small businesses and
employees, we decided we wanted to lighten the spirits and to bring
back the fun. We do it with aesthetics at affordable prices - we have
free prizes, upbeat melodies, and most of all we newly introduced the FIVE
DOLLAR FUN TABLE
as the best antidote to the recession.
Here, on this table, we have
something for every member of the family: Hip Hop Jewelry for the
ladies, Fun Toys for children, and Gifts for the Discerning Dad. The
table is seasonal and at this time of the year there are Christmas
Decorations and much, much more. Note: If three five dollar items are
purchased the fourth item is free.
