The Picture Lady is our husband and wife-run company, based in Frazier Park, California. We have been in business since 1992. Our company is professional and stable.
How We Do Business
- We have a traveling Art Gallery for Hospitals and Corporations in California, at which the employees can purchase our artwork. We set up in a lobby, cafeteria, conference room or hallway. A Picture Lady event looks like a gallery, not a sale or a store. A portion of the proceeds is donated to a club, the company or charity.
- At our website, artwork and comfort products can be purchased and sent out to customers. Our corporate customers also use our websites to order ahead, for then they are able to choose frame, mat and artwork. The finished picture is brought to the gallery at their place of work.
- We do custom and corporate decorating, which saves time and money. We provide pictures for an office, a new wing in a hospital, a lobby, a restaurant or a home. You may choose a theme at a gallery or on the web, Then we come to you with a full selection of prints.

Professional Standards
We have come to realize over the years, that the success of a vendor program depends more on your selection of the vendor than on the products being sold. You want to look at the people. Can you count on them? Are they worthy of trust? You'll want somebody who takes full care of their area, so their problems do not fall into your lap.
We are not perfect, but if we goof we will always make it right. We are professionals.
Relationships
Over theyears we built our business on relationships. We have no contracts with our accounts. yet they invite us back year after year. Our customers come back and bring their friends. A large part of this is because of details done right, those small kindnesses that make the world go around. We think they are important.
Image, Advertising and Space
We are similar to a book fair, but with more color and culture! We are very sensitive to image, and a Picture Lady Gallery will look like a gallery, never a sale, a store or swap meet.
For each show we provide a full package of advertising that includes little table top tents, flyers, brochures, and email This makes it very easy for you to get the word out and bring the people in. All we ask of you is that you reserve the space, and pass along the advertising. As far as the space is concerned, we can go either big or small, use conference room, lobby, cafeteria or hallway. A high traffic area is the more important as buying artwork is an impulse buy.
About Us
Peter and I have many years of corporate background. Peter has worked as a programmer and technical writer in the computer industry. I was in Promotion and Public Relations. Now, Peter is in charge of Treasury, and Legal at The Picture Lady and he is also our Web Master. I am in charge of Promotion, Advertising, Purchasing, and Customer Relations. We handle the events ourselves.
I have adegree in the Arts and Peter was educated in electronics and more recently he has studied the Arts. This is important in our field. You can sell books, and jewelry and leather and not know anything much about the broader subject. This is not true when selling Art.
